UPDATE: Fourteen Oklahoma counties are under a burn ban Monday.

There is a 40 percent chance for rain Monday afternoon in central Oklahoma. But 14 counties in the state are now under a burn ban.

11:40 a.m. Comanche County is now under a burn ban, the Oklahoma Forestry Services reports. Thirteen other counties in the state are also under burn bans due to heat and lack of moisture. Other counties are Adair, Blaine, Beaver, Creek, Custer, Latimer, Le Flore, McIntosh, Muskogee, Ottawa, Pittsburg, Sequoyah and Tulsa.

5 a.m. There is a 40 percent chance for rain Monday afternoon in central Oklahoma. Heat will continue with the heat index Monday making temperatures feel like it is 98 degrees, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 98. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph.

Monday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. North northeast wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 89. Northeast wind 8 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70. Northeast wind 7 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 93. North, northeast wind 8 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 67.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 92.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 67.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 93.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 93.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 70.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92.
