UPDATE: Interstate 40 west reopened after crash

I-40 westbound has been closed near Air Depot Road in Midwest City after an injury collision

2 p.m. Westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Air Depot Road have been reopened.

Lanes were closed for more than an hour because of an accident.

1 p.m. Interstate 40 westbound lanes near Air Depot Road in Midwest City are closed because of an injury collision.

The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Betsy Randolph said.

Several people were injured in the collision, including an infant, Randolph said.

All lanes of westbound I-40 have been closed while troopers clear the scene and investigate the crash. Traffic is being diverted away from the area at Air Depot Road, Randolph said.
