UPDATE: Man arrested after being freed from storm drain in southwest Oklahoma City

A man rescued from a storm drain in southwest Oklahoma City was arrested on a complaint of receiving/concealing stolen property, police said.

1:40 p.m. Oklahoma City police arrested the man stuck in the storm drain soon after he was freed, police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

Chad Duncan, 33, was arrested on a complaint of receiving/concealing stolen property after a former felony conviction.

Duncan gave police a false name after he was freed from the storm drain. Officers were able to confirm his identity by an identification card he had on him, Wardlow said.

Police also found in Duncan's possession several ID cards, driver's licenses and checks that had been stolen in several incidents, Wardlow said.

8:05 a.m. A man has been rescued from a storm drain in southwest Oklahoma City, police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said. Firefighters rescued the man and paramedics from Emergency Medical Services Authority are treating him on the scene. The drain is at the Cornerstone Apartments.

7:30 a.m. Firefighters are trying to rescue a man trapped in a storm drain Wednesday morning.

The man is in the drain in the 1100 block of Interstate 240 in an apartment complex on the north side of I-240 between S Pennsylvania and S Western Avenue.
