UPDATE: Man wanted in Osage County homicide arrested in Lewisville, Texas and missing boy safe

A man wanted in a Sand Springs homicide is in custody and his 6-year-old son, Decklan Connor is safe. The boy's father has reportedly been found by police in a Lewisville, Texas hotel.

8 a.m. LEWISVILLE, Texas -- Police have taken Robert Leroy Connor III, 38, into custody and his missing son is safe, a Lewisville police dispatcher has confirmed. Check for updates.

6:45 a.m. A Dallas TV station is reporting Lewisville, Texas police found the car driven by an Oklahoma man wanted in a Sand Springs homicide in Osage County. About 3 a.m. the car belonging to Robert Leroy Connor III, 38, was located near the Vista Ridge Mall where Connor had registered in a hotel. Connor is wanted in the Tuesday night death of his mother. He is believed to be with his son Decklan Connor, 6. An Amber Alert has been issued for the missing boy, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety reports.

The car is described as a tan, 2004 Ford CVC four-door with Oklahoma license plate 197HNK. Check for updates to this story.

5:40 a.m. LEWISVILLE, TEXAS – A police tactical team has located a man wanted in an Osage County homicide who reportedly took his 6-year-old son from a Sand Springs murder scene, Texas police report Wednesday.

Robert Leroy Connor III, 38, is reported to be communicating with police at a hotel in Lewisville, a Dallas TV station has reported. A Lewisville police dispatcher said officers are “swamped at this time,” and she could not comment on the standoff.
