UPDATE: Midwest City man crushed by car

A car fell on top of Richard Larson, 62, overnight in Midwest City. He was killed in the accident, officials said.

9:10 a.m. Officials have identified the man killed when a car fell on as Richard Larson, 62. Larson apparently was working underneath a car in his detached garage at his home at 8809 NE 2 about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.

The car was elevated on concrete pavers and slipped and fell, pinning him underneath. The death appears to be accidental, Clabes said.

4:56 a.m. MIDWEST CITY — A man was killed when a car fell on top of him Tuesday, firefighters said.

The man apparently was working on the car when it fell on him Tuesday night in the 8800 block of NE 2, a fire spokesman told a local television station.
