UPDATE: No injuries reported in fire at retirement apartments near downtown Oklahoma City

A small fire is out near downtown Oklahoma City. The fire was in the Towers Apartments, a senior retirement center.

Firefighters evacuated the Towers Apartments, 135 NW 9, a three-story apartment building for retired older adults near downtown early Thursday.

A small fire was found in an apartment about 5:40 a.m., according to fire radio reports. No one was injured. All occupants have been evacuated to an adjacent building.

Heavy smoke on the second floor and some water damage from the sprinkler system was reported.
