UPDATE: Northbound lanes of Interstate 35 reopened after chemical spill

Northbound Interstate 35 was closed between NE 10 and NE 23 for several hours due to a chemical spill, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

9:55 p.m. Northbound lanes of Interstate 35 have been reopened, according to the state transportation department.

5:45 p.m. Northbound lanes of Interstate 35 are closed between NE 10 and NE 23 while crews clear a chemical spill, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The lanes were closed about 5:30 p.m., the patrol reports. Authorities did not indicate when the road would reopen.
