1:45 p.m. Oklahoma City elementary school was placed on lockdown Monday while police searched for a man wanted in connection with a domestic dispute.

Tierney Tinnin, spokeswoman for Oklahoma City Public Schools, said police contacted school officials at Southern Hills Elementary School about 12:40 p.m. Monday about placing the school on lockdown.

Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said officers were looking for a man wanted in connection with a domestic dispute in the 1500 block of SW 79 Terrace.

Police said officers received a call shortly before noon Monday in reference to a woman screaming and covered in blood. Another call came in and said a man was on top of her and they were fighting.

When officers arrived, the man ran westbound from the area, Wardlow said.

The school is at S Kentucky Avenue and SW 77 Place.
