1:30 p.m. Eight people were allowed back in their homes after five residences were evacuated earlier Wednesday, Deputy Fire Chief Marc Woodard said. The line was repaired, he said.
12:30 p.m. An Oklahoma City water utility crew accidentally cut an 8-inch natural gas line in the 4200 block of NW 30 about 9:40 a.m., fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said.
Crews are trying to make the repair, but due to the depth of the natural gas line, five homes have been evacuated in the immediate area as a precaution, Stanaland said.
12:05 p.m. A natural gas line break has been reported near NW 30 and Utah Avenue in northwest Oklahoma City.
Firefighters have evacuated a two-block area.
