UPDATE: One lane of I-40 westbound reopens after tractor-trailer crash and fire Monday in Oklahoma City

7:30 a.m. The right lane of Interstate 40 westbound is now open between Interstate 44 and Meridian Avenue Monday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. The northbound and southbound I-44 ramps to westbound I-40 remain closed. Check for updates.

6 a.m. All westbound lanes of Interstate 40 remain closed Monday due to a tractor-trailer crash and fire. Check for traffic updates.

4:50 a.m. One lane of westbound Interstate 40 has opened for traffic in west Oklahoma City Monday following an accident. The crash was between Interstate 44 and Meridian Avenue. Check for traffic updates.

4:15 a.m. A tractor-trailer crash and fire has shut down Interstate 40 in west Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The westbound lanes of I-40 are closed between Interstate 44 and Meridian Avenue.

The accident happened about 3:15 a.m. I-40 lanes will be shut down for several hours, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
