Also arrested with Delaney on a complaint of harboring a fugitive were Amanda Dunn, 21, and Gregory Lee Crooks, 23, both of Miami. Dunn was also arrested on a resisting arrest complaint and Crooks on an obstructing an officer complaint.

Ottawa County deputies learned Delaney and Dunn were attempting to leave the Miami area and were possibly in the park, Derwin said. Sheriff Terry Durborow went to the park in an unmarked vehicle to identify the suspects, Derwin said. He said deputies in vehicles waiting near the park caught Delaney, and Dunn was apprehended after she attempted to run away on foot.

Delaney, who is charged in Ottawa County District Court with robbery, escaped while being treated for chest pains at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami around 6 a.m., Derwin said.

He is being held in connection to the July 6 theft at the Miami Holiday Inn, he said.

Delaney is scheduled to return to court Sept. 20 for a preliminary hearing, court records show. Dunn pleaded guilty in July to obstructing an officer and was sentenced to jail for 12 days and received a one year suspended sentence, records show.
