Update: Putnam City student hit by vehicle was taken to hospital as precautionary measure

A sixth-grade Putnam City student was taken to Deaconess Hospital in good condition after she was hit by a vehicle in Warr Acres, authorities said.

11:50 a.m. Lara O'Leary, a spokeswoman for the Emergency Medical Services Authority, said the Putnam City student was taken to Deaconess Hospital in good condition. Lindley said the sixth-grade girl was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

7:55 a.m. A student of Putnam City Schools is being taken to a hospital after being hit by a vehicle near NW 42 and Grove Avenue. The girl who was struck is in the sixth grade, said Putnam City Schools spokesman Steve Lindley. Check for updates

7:45 a.m. — Police have responded to a report of a person being struck by a vehicle at NW 42 and Grove Avenue, according to police radio reports.
