6:20 a.m. A red flag warning is in effect for southwest Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service reports. High winds and warm temperatures will increase the risk for wildfires from noon to 6 p.m. across most of the state including central Oklahoma. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

5 a.m. With winds gusting up to 39 mph Tuesday, Oklahoma will have an increased fire danger.

Temperatures in central Oklahoma will be near 53 degrees, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 53. Windy with a west wind 9 to 14 mph becoming north, northwest 23 to 28 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph.
