11:05 a.m. Rain showers are moving east of Interstate 35 Monday morning, the National Weather Service reports. Strong storms are possible south and east of Oklahoma City Monday afternoon. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

6:18 a.m. Scattered showers are moving across the Oklahoma City area Monday morning. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

5 a.m. There is a chance for rain Monday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m. then a chance of rain and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Cloudy with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming north 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Monday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy then gradually becoming mostly clear with a low about 53. North wind 5 to 11 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 80. Northeast wind 9 to 13 mph.
