UPDATE: Silver Alert issued for Norman man canceled

After a four-hour search Saturday evening, Norman police issues a Silver Alert for W.D. “Dub” McIntosh.

The Silver Alert issued for W.D. “Dub” McIntosh has been canceled. The 86-year-old man was found safe at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Norman police reported.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a Norman man who was reported missing by his wife Saturday evening.

W.D. “Dub” McIntosh, 86, was last seen about 7:30 p.m. at his home. He left on foot and did not return, Norman police Lt. Jay Callaghan said.

Callaghan said police searched the Jenkins Avenue area for about four hours, but did not find McIntosh, who suffers from dementia.

McIntosh, who is 5-foot 10-inches tall and weighs 158 pounds, was wearing a white T-shirt, blue pants and worn brown shoes.

Anyone with information about McIntosh is asked to call Norman police.
