UPDATE: Small earthquake reported near Spencer

Residents in the Oklahoma City metro area reported feeling an earthquake Wednesday night. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at 2.7 magnitude near Spencer.

10:50 p.m. The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 2.7-magnitude earthquake happened near Spencer about 10 p.m.

10:35 p.m. Oklahoma City metro-area residents reported feeling an earthquake after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Although there was no immediate report of an earthquake by the U.S. Geological Survey, social media sites were full of posts from people who felt the quake. It sometimes takes the survey half an hour or more to put out quake reports.

Enid had a series of three small earthquakes Tuesday.
