UPDATE: Oklahoma City snowfall ends as wind advisory, hard freeze warning issued in Oklahoma

Snowfall has ended in Oklahoma City. A wind advisory is in effect Monday in Oklahoma. There is a hard freeze warning in effect for early Tuesday.

11:45 a.m. Snowfall has ended across central Oklahoma Monday, but there is a chance for rain during the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. There is a slight chance of rain between 1 and 4 p.m. A hard freeze warning is in effect for early Tuesday. More than an inch of snow was reported in parts of northwest Oklahoma Monday. Snow did not accumulate in the Oklahoma City area. Oklahoma City accumulated 0.8 inches of snow on this date in 1953. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

9:10 a.m. Snow is blowing into Oklahoma City Monday morning, reducing visibility for motorists. In parts of northwest Oklahoma, up to 2 inches of snow is in the forecast. Snow is not expected to accumulate in Oklahoma City. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

5 a.m. Winds could gust up to 41 mph in central Oklahoma Monday as a cold front sweeps in from the northwest, the National Weather Service reports.

A wind advisory is in effect Monday until noon in central Oklahoma. There is a chance for up to 2 inches of snow in the Oklahoma Panhandle and parts of northwest Oklahoma.

A winter weather advisory has been issued until 11 a.m. Monday for northwest Oklahoma where snow was falling early Monday.

A hard freeze warning is in effect for early Tuesday for much of the state including western and central Oklahoma. Overnight lows in central Oklahoma will be near 30 degrees. The eastern part of the state is under a freeze warning for early Tuesday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: A chance of rain between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cloudy with a high about 46. Windy with a north wind 28 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
