UPDATE: Thunderstorms in Oklahoma City area Wednesday topple trees

8:55 a.m. There are 1,113 customers without power in south Oklahoma City and 50 customers without power in west Oklahoma City, according to the OG&E website.

6:10 a.m. Tree limbs are blocking parts of W Overholser Drive in west Oklahoma City, according to police radio reports. There are 249 electric customers without power in north and west Oklahoma City Wednesday morning, according to Oklahoma Gas & Electric website. Oklahoma City firefighters responded to a report of a house being struck by lightning that had a large hole in the roof and attic area at 12216 Bunting Circle. There are about 511 OG&E customers without power in south Oklahoma City.

4:45 a.m. Trees and limbs have been toppled across the Bethany area from high winds in Wednesday morning thunderstorms that rolled through the Oklahoma City area about 4 a.m. , according to Bethany police radio reports. A large tree is blocking the roadway on Eagle Lane just north of NW 30, police report.

4:30 a.m. Thunderstorms rolled across the Oklahoma City area Wednesday morning, bringing much needed rainfall but knocking down tree limbs and some power lines.

A special weather statement was issued for parts of southeastern Oklahoma County and northern Cleveland County, the National Weather Service reported. A strong thunderstorm was located near Moore moving east at 35 mph, the weather service reports. Wind gusts up to 55 mph were reported.

There were 511 electric customers without power in south Oklahoma City at 4:30 a.m. and about 150 in west Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Gas & Electric website showed.

Other locations in the path of the storm included Midwest City, Moore, Del City, Stella, Tinker Air Force Base, Lake Thunderbird, Stanley Draper Lake and Valley Brook, the weather service reports.
