Update: Tornado watch in effect for most of central, western Oklahoma until 9 p.m.

Lightning, hail and even tornadoes are forecast for Saturday afternoon across the region, according to the National Weather Service in Norman.

High for the day is forecast at 82 degrees; the low should be around 53 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Quiet weather is on tap from Sunday through the middle of next week, with another chance of thunderstorms late on Wednesday.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 81. North northwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west after midnight.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 83. West wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Monday: Night Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 69.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 73.
