The driver of a semi truck was conscious and alert after a rollover accident near Mustang, officials said.

Crews were called to the scene of a rollover accident at 9200 Highway 4 in Oklahoma City shortly after 10 a.m. Friday, said Oklahoma City Fire Department Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland. A semi truck carrying scrap metal had tipped over, pinning the driver inside.

The driver was pinned inside the truck for about an hour while firefighters extracted him from the wreckage, Stanaland said.

The driver was transported to a local hospital. His condition was unclear, but Stanaland said he was conscious and alert when firefighters pulled him from the truck.

The accident was still under investigation Friday afternoon, Stanaland said, and a cause hadn’t been determined.
