Quapaw tornado leaves 68-year-old man dead, fire station destroyed Sunday

Official says two are dead after tornado hits Quapaw, Oklahoma. The extent of the damage is still unknown.

UPDATE: The morning after a killer storm swept through a small Oklahoma town, residents were surveying damage and the Red Cross was providing meals and assistance.

A 68-year-old man from Kansas died from injuries sustained when a wall fell on a vehicle, and the city's fire station was demolished after a tornado hit Quapaw Sunday afternoon, officials said. It was part of a storm system that reportedly also killed 16 people in Arkansas.

John Brown from rural Baxter Springs, Kan., was killed Sunday, according to an official in the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
