Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman at a northeast Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Lt. Kevin Parton said gunshots rang out about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wilshire Renaissance Apartments on the northwest corner of Kelley Avenue and N Wilshire Boulevard. He said a woman was found dead in the apartment complex parking lot, and the man was found inside an apartment.

“We're trying to first identify who the victims are,” Parton said.

A resident at Wilshire Renaissance Apartments said he saw two men talking outside apartment unit 42 in building 616 shortly before the shootings. One of the men was black, about 6 feet tall and slender.

“He was watching me and I know there was a body there next to that car down there about five spaces down,” the resident said. “I didn't know if maybe he was already there and that's why he was staring at me so hard or what.”

The resident said he did not want to give his name since no arrests have been reported. The resident said he went to a convenience store and returned to find the crime scene.

Police said they do not have any suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200.
