Rachel Scarberry, 16, of Piedmont

Scarberry was driving north about 9:05 p.m. Thursday at 3930 S Mustang Road when her car went left of center and hit a southbound pickup, Oklahoma City police reported.

The pickup driver was not injured, but Scarberry was pronounced dead at the scene, said Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight.

Debra Tiger, 56, of Konawa

Tiger died in a crash about 6:35 p.m. Thursday near Seminole when the car she was riding in was struck by a pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A pickup driven west by Derrick Long, 31, of Wewoka, failed to stop at a stop sign near State Highway 9A and county road EW 139 and struck the car driven north by Jennifer Tiger, 39, of Konawa. Jennifer Tiger was taken to Integris Seminole Medical Center in stable condition, the patrol reported.

Long was treated at a hospital and released.

Three children were hurt in the car driven by Jennifer Tiger. A 2-year-old was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition with head and internal trunk injuries. A 5-year-old was flown to OU Medical Center. The child’s condition was stable, the patrol reported. A 4-year-old was taken to the Seminole hospital in stable condition.

Seat belts were equipped and in use in both vehicles. The patrol reported Long appeared to have been impaired from drinking at the time of the crash. has disabled the comments for this article.
