Update: Two students being taken to a hospital with minor injuries after school bus accident in Oklahoma City

A school bus has been in an accident Thursday in Oklahoma City. Two students are being taken to a hospital.

8:12 a.m. The driver of the car made an improper right turn and was hit by the bus, said police Master Sgt. Gary Knight. The driver is getting four citations for improper turn, no driver's license, no insurance and no license plate tag.

8:05 a.m. Both students hurt on the bus are going to Mercy Health Center, said Lara O'Leary, Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman

7:55 a.m. Two Douglass High School students are going to a hospital. A car hit the bus and another bus is taking the other students to school, said Tierney Tinnin, Oklahoma City Schools spokeswoman.

7:30 a.m. A school bus accident has been reported in Oklahoma City.

The wreck was about 7:10 a.m. at NE 16 and Lottie Avenue, police said.

An ambulance has responded and several students are going to be taken to a hospital, according to Oklahoma City fire radio reports.
