The body of a woman was found inside a northwest Oklahoma City apartment Monday morning, and her son was arrested in connection with her death, police said.

Ocie Hardeman, 60, was found dead about 1 a.m. inside a unit at the Autumn Ridge townhomes 4436 NW 36, Capt. Dexter Nelson said.

She had injuries on her body consistent with homicide, police report.

Her son, Fredric Hardeman Jr. 38, has been arrested in her death. Both lived at the townhome where she was killed, said police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow.

Fredric Hardeman reportedly told a family member that he killed his mother, Nelson said.

He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a murder complaint.
