US health science grant officials visit Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Officials from the National Institutes of Health and Defense Department are coming to Michigan for a briefing on research and business opportunities in the life sciences.

The meetings start at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 in Ann Arbor, and advance registration is needed to meet individually with the visiting officials.

The sessions are sponsored by the University of Michigan, Biotechnology Business Consultants, and BioArbor.

One speaker is Rosemarie Hunziker, program director of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering. The other is Kay Etzler, an analyst with the Pentagon's Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program.
