US Soccer unveils 30-man preliminary roster for World Cup Published: May 12, 2014

U.S. men's national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named his preliminary 30-man roster for the World Cup.

Among the crowd are veterans Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard, as well as newcomers such as 18-year-old Bayern Munich product Julian Green.

The 30 will report to Palo Alto, Calif., Wednesday for the start of training camp. The U.S.'s final 23-man roster must be selected by June 2.

The U.S. kicks off its World Cup campaign in Brazil against Ghana on June 16 in group play.
