USRowing's biggest event begins Thursday on the Oklahoma River in the Boathouse District.
Crews from adult rowers from 81 cities, including those from the OKC Riversport Masters' squads, will be competing in the four-day Masters National Championships.
More than 1,200 athletes will be vying for national titles in more than 200 events.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase our world-class rowing venue and our world-class city a group of highly influential leaders in the rowing and business communities from across our nation,” said Mike Knopp, executive director of the OKC Boathouse Foundation.
Races start at 8 a.m. Thursday and last until 5 p.m. Corporate races begin at 5 p.m. as crews from Oklahoma City companies will compete for the first Corporate Masters National Championship.
On Friday through Sunday, the Masters National Championships will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 3 p.m.
Admission is free for spectators and food and concessions are available.
