Utah women stop Arizona State 54-46

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Michelle Plouffe had 21 points and 17 rebounds Friday night to lead Utah to its fourth consecutive win, 54-46 over Arizona State.

Taryn Wicijowski added 19 points for the Utes (14-10, 5-8 Pac-12).

The Utes scored the first eight points but Arizona State came back and eventually took a 19-17 lead late in the first half, Utah then finished the half with a 9-2 run, with Plouffe and Wicijowski accounting for all of the points, and the Utes led 26-21 at halftime.

ASU didn't come within six points of Utah after the beginning of the second half.

Joy Burke had eight points and 11 rebounds, and Arnecia Hawkins also scored eight points for the Sun Devils (11-14, 3-10), who have dropped six straight.
