About 150 Oklahoma Natural Gas vehicles and two metro-area service centers were damaged in Sunday’s storm, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Preliminary estimates put the damage at $1.4 million, spokesman Don Sherry said, but the storms did not affect operations.
Sherry also said the storms’ toll would not affect rates for ONG customers.
Power outages peaked at about 11,000 customers Sunday in the wake of storms that ravaged the Oklahoma City area, an Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. spokesman said.
Crews are working to repair insulators that were damaged by hail and heavy rain, causing most of the outages.
The utility company also is assessing the damage done to fleet vehicles at its north Oklahoma City facility near Wilshire Boulevard and the Broadway Extension, spokesman Brian Alford said Monday.
