RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A consortium of museums in France and North American has chosen the Virginia Association of Museums to serve as its administrative manager.

The association says in a news release that 26 major museums in France and North America are members of the French Regional American Museum Exchange, or FRAME. They include the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

The consortium promotes museum partnerships to develop innovative exhibitions, educational and public programs, and professional exchanges among museum staff.

Virginia Association of Museums president Tracy Gillespie says working with FRAME members provides an opportunity to build relationships with the broader art museum community and to bring the association increased recognition.
