VALLEY BROOK — The Valley Brook town trustees are considering a proposal from a developer looking to open an all-nude strip club in the tiny Oklahoma City suburb.
All-nude clubs are rare in Oklahoma — and anywhere in the U.S. — because club owners usually cannot sell alcohol or food if dancers are totally naked while they entertain.
If the club in Valley Brook were to open, it would be only the second one of its kind currently operating in Oklahoma.
Most all-nude clubs were put out of business or changed their policies in the late 1980s, when Oklahoma lawmakers made it illegal to serve alcohol in totally nude establishments.
Such bars are not even allowed to operate in Oklahoma City, even if they don't serve alcohol.
According to a Valley Brook town trustee who did not want his named used because of the early stages of the proposed development, the owners of the new club are already players in the local strip bar scene.
‘Family restaurant' is planned for complex
The trustee said the developers plan to open the new club, which will be called Déjà vu, before the end of the year. The new club would be in a shopping center that already is home to Little Darlings, the largest strip club in Valley Brook. Developers told the town trustees the new club would be a juice bar and wouldn't sell alcohol.
News that an all-nude club will open before the end of the year has some residents concerned. Some were concerned because the developers of the all-nude club also plan to open a “family restaurant” in the same shopping complex.

These people, the developers, they have places here already and in other states, so I think they probably did their homework. I don't think they would come this far if they hadn't checked it out.”
