Weatherford's D.J. Kurtenbach helping out community through Cleats for Kids, 4-H project

For the last six years now, D.J. Kurtenbach has been heavily involved in Oklahoma Cleats for Kids, gathering used shoes and other athletic gear for children who need them. But this year, Kurtenbach — the son of Weatherford football coach Dan Kurtenbach — has taken his philanthropic efforts to a new level as part of a 4-H project.

They each include a lot of improvements athletically and non-athletically, but none more noticeable than newly remodeled football stadiums for each of the three Edmond high schools.
