GEORGIA, Vt. (AP) — Vermont's Georgia Mountain Community Wind project is going to be holding an open house and offering tours of its wind turbines.

The open house will be held Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

Meanwhile a number of neighbors of the project will be meeting with visitors as well to tell of their experiences living near the turbines. The neighbor's open house will be held from 10:30 to 12:30.

Last year, more than 750 people visited the site and dedicated the project.

The Georgia Mountain 10 megawatt project uses four wind turbines. It now provides about 8 percent of the energy demand of the Burlington Electric Department.
