Very high to extreme fire danger

From the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office:

“Winds will increase out of the southwest during the day to around 20 to 25 mph, with gusts near 30 to 35 mph.

“This will result in extreme fire spread potential for some areas like southwest OK.

“ANY activities that could result in fire ignition like welding, trash burning, driving over grass, etc. should be completely avoided today.”
