Victims turn aggressive toward robbers

PURCELL -- It isn't always the way law officers suggest it be handled, but sometimes the victim can make things rough on those who rob them.

There were two such incidents recently in Purcell, as the Purcell Register reports.

In one, a man armed with a knife tried to rob another man who was washing his pickup at a car wash.

The police report said the assailant first asked for money, then pulled a knife.

What followed was a bit of a surprise to the robber.

In a second incident, a thief took a smart phone out of a store and the clerk followed him.

When the clerk saw the security cord still attached to the phone hanging from the man's pants, the clerk took action.

See how these incidents turned out.
