The C-SPAN morning program “Washington Journal” will feature guests at Enbridge Energy Partner’s terminal in Cushing during its live show centering on the oil industry Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The “Capitol of American Oil Kingdom” episode airs from 6 to 10 a.m.

Details, provided by C-SPAN, are as follows:

Despite a population of less than 8,000, Cushing is considered by some to be the “capitol of American oil kingdom.” The community contains the country’s biggest bank vault of U.S. oil in the country – there is more than 80 million barrels of oil storage capacity, according to Bloomberg Businessweek. Hundreds of storage tanks dot the land. And each day the oil in Cushing is bought and sold on the New York Mercantile Exchange. If approved, the Keystone XL pipeline would run directly into Cushing.

C-SPAN host is in DC for the Nov. 6 show, and most of the guests will join us from Enbridge Energy Partner’s terminal in Cushing. The lineup of guests include Enbridge’s Senior VP for Operations Rich Adams and Daniel Yergin, IHS Vice Chairman and author of “The Quest: Energy, Security & the Remaking of the Modern World,” from New York. Other guests TBA.
