Oklahoma country music superstar Carrie Underwood and actress Rashida Jones were the guests on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Thanksgiving night, and the talented ladies joined the famously musical late-night host to sing a hilarious holiday medley that spoofed recent hits by Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Daft Punk and more. It was pretty much the best thing since turkey and dressing.
Underwood, who hails from Checotah, also chatted about her upcoming role as Maria in NBC’s three-hour production of “The Sound of Music Live!,” airing at 7 p.m. Thursday. To read my column on show, click here.
The Oklahoma native also chatted about the time she got a phone call from Mick Jagger, her husband Mike Fisher’s love of singing and her theory that all people are pie charts. (If you want to see the full Thanksgiving night episode of Fallon’s show, I’ve posted it, too.)
