Oklahoma City firefighters battled a large house fire Wednesday in the 8500 block of NE 129. Fire officials said the house is a total loss.
Fire crews were called out about 2:30 p.m. and found the house engulfed in flames and smoke.
Fire Maj. Tammy McKinney said everyone made it out of the house, including all pets.
McKinney said the original fire call indicated an electrical short may have caused the fire, which originated in a converted bedroom.
Due to a shortage of water in the area, an Edmond water tanker was called in to assist Oklahoma City crews.
American Red Cross volunteers will meet with the family to determine what help they need, spokesman Ken Garcia said.
