Austin Rivers and Nick Collison got into a second-quarter scuffle on Monday night, leading to a double-ejection. It was the first ejection of Collison’s 10-year career.
In the aftermath, there seemed to be confusion on what Collison did, because on the Thunder broadcast all it showed was his semi-hard (but very clean) screen that initially set Rivers off. After that, all we saw were two Rivers pushes — the initial one and the violent one that caused the ejections and court-wide skirmish.
But in the middle of those two Rivers shoves was a Collison shoulder on the fastbreak that added to his culpability in the whole situation. Here’s the video from the New Orleans feed (h/t @JDonSports), with the unseen Collison part starting around 2:35:
