Video: Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, 'The Call'

Owasso-based country music superstars Garth Brook and Trisha Yearwood have released their first music video in many years, “The Call.”

The video is actually an excerpt of of Brooks’ DVD “Blame It All on My Roots: Live at the Wynn,” which is part of his new box set “Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences.”

As I noted in my box set review, the couple’s beautiful harmonizing on the long-awaited new song is the highlight of the show.

As previously reported, it’s been a busy holiday season for Brooks, with his box set release, his popular CBS live Black Friday concert special and, of course, the superstar’s Dec. 9 “Good Morning America” announcement that he plans to come out of his long semiretirement and embark on a world tour in 2014.

He will be seen on TV again Sunday, Dec. 29 when the Kennedy Center Honors air from 8 to 10 p.m. on CBS. Brooks pays homage to honoree Billy Joel in the special.
