Without any need for his late-game heroics, Kevin Durant probably got a little bored during the fourth quarter of the Thunder’s blowout of the Kings on Friday night.
So to entertain himself on the bench, it seems he may have choreographed his next move, an impressive videobomb right after the final buzzer.
As Jeremy Lamb was conducting his interview with Fox Sports Oklahoma, Hasheem Thabeet and Durant strolled over behind Lamb for some face time. Thabeet gave a quick ‘What’s up?’ look to the camera and then Durant broke out into an impromptu shimmy, before shooting Lamb an awkward stare and racing away. The scene:
After the game, Durant was asked about his videobombing antics.
“Just enjoying the win, having a little fun,” Durant said. “Can’t always be too tensed up, it’s a long season. Just staying loose.”
But, Durant said, he’s far from the best videobomber on the team. That award goes to Thabeet.
“Yeah, he’s the king,” Durant said of Thabeet. “He’s the selfie king and he’s the videobomb king. So I followed his lead tonight.”
