CBS Interactive’s award-winning webcast concert series, “Live on Letterman,” presented by AT&T, will feature rockers Kings of Leon, who have Oklahoma ties, performing live at 8 tonight from the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City and webcast on CBS.com and VEVO.

Kings of Leon’s “Live on Letterman” performance will feature songs off of their sixth album, “Mechanical Bull,” which dropped Tuesday. Their performance will also include previous hits such as “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire.”

The “Live on Letterman” franchise, which has garnered nearly 200 million views to date on CBS.com and VEVO, has hosted some of the most established bands and musicians across the globe, staged in an intimate and dynamic setting for worldwide followers to enjoy. “Live on Letterman” webcasts have included some of music’s biggest stars, including Coldplay, Alicia Keys, The Killers, John Mayer, Mumford & Sons and Adele.

Four-time Grammy winners Kings of Leon, made up of brothers Caleb Followill (lead vocals), Jared Followill (bass), Nathan Followill (drums), and their cousin Matthew Followill (lead guitar), formed in 2000 and achieved initial success in the U.K. with their first three albums. The 2008 release of “Only by the Night” rocketed the Nashville, Tenn.-based band, which has Oklahoma City and Talihina roots, to the top of the charts in the United States with the singles “Use Somebody,” “Sex on Fire” and “Notion.” “Only by the Night” went platinum in eight countries and marked the band’s first platinum-selling album stateside, with the tracks “Use Somebody” and “Sex On Fire” earning the band four Grammy Awards. Kings of Leon released their fifth album, “Come Around Sundown,” in October 2010 to critical acclaim, receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.
