Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford talked Tuesday with ESPN's Andy Katz about the incident between Marcus Smart and Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr on Saturday.

Some of the most interesting parts of the interview included Ford's explanation of the situation from his bench viewpoint:

Ford: When I first saw that a technical was called, I didn't know what had happened. From our standpoint, you could not see at all what had happened. I had to get the guys (together) who were actually out there. I took Marcus out, got our security guy with him and I had to regroup our guys who were actually in the game, trying to figure out how to end the game and give ourselves an opportunity to win it.
