Sure things have sputtered out and relative unknowns have immediately emerged. Happens every year.
But many have opined that, of this year’s watered down group of first-year players, former Indiana guard Victor Oladipo, who went 2nd overall to the Orlando Magic, may be the most NBA-ready.
We’ll know better come early November. But for now, the youngster gave us a promising sneak peak, holding his own against Kevin Durant in the Goodman League in Washington D.C. earlier this week.

It’s not in a raucous playoff environment where he’s facing an amped up KD and Russell Westbrook. It’s not even a surprisingly competitive summer league game (where he excelled a few months ago). But it’s still interesting and it’s still impressive.
