In the northern Oklahoma City-based District 1, Bob Hammack is running for an open board seat. A business executive and civic leader, Hammack is also well qualified to hold office and would help direct the district toward meaningful improvement.

Oklahoma City has enjoyed a remarkable renaissance in recent years. Bricktown is now a destination. Downtown Oklahoma City has been revitalized. In this election, The Oklahoman endorses Lynne Hardin for Oklahoma City School Board chairman and Bob Hammack for the District 1 school board seat.
