W.Va. gas prices up more than 5 cents

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Average gasoline prices in West Virginia are up more than 5 cents in the past week.

AAA East Central says the price for a gallon is regular, unleaded gas is at $3.43 per gallon. That's 2 cents higher than the national average.

Prices range from $3.28 in Parkersburg to $3.50 in Clarksburg. A week ago Clarksburg had the lowest average price at $3.26.

The state's gas prices are 28 cents lower than a year ago.
