GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Dearica Hamby finished with 25 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and two steals as No. 11 seed Wake Forest women beat 14th-seeded Pittsburgh 72-58 in the first round of the ACC tournament on Wednesday night.

Chelsea Douglas added 20 points for Wake Forest (15-15), which will take on sixth-seeded North Carolina on Thursday.

Pittsburgh pulled within four on an Ashlee Anderson layup with 17:03 remaining, but the Demon Deacons rattled off the next 12 points, including six by Milan Quinn, to open up a 50-34 advantage with 12:40 to play.
