Want to name something in someone's memory? Pay $500

ENID -- Making a memorial by naming a public bench, a tree, or a building is a popular idea. But the naming rights have a cost.

The Enid News & Eagle reports that the city commission has set a process -- and a fee -- for memorials in the Garfield County city.

There must be an application, a $500 fee and the signatures of 25 registered Enid voters to get it started.

But there are several other factors.
