Just like the name and the logo, it appears the Thunder uniforms may have snuck out early.

In a preview video of the NBA 2K9 video game, in which Oklahoma City plays the Chicago Bulls, players are shown playing at home in white uniforms with blue piping.

jill, I just said this video portrays a color scheme on the shirt and shorts of the uniforms and on the court that looked almost the exact same as when the Hornets were here. I state the facts of what this video shows. You are the one that goes on the insecurity tirade by talking smack on the other NBA uniforms putting you into question. Much of the new development in this city are copies of what other cities already have had for years. Yes, we are a young state and city so you have to factor that in. You drive into and around the city and it's not much different at all from Dallas except much smaller and now bricktown looks like combination of West End in Dallas and a newly planted San Antonio Riverwalk. Okc admirable and good I would say yes. For people that have traveled the country, unique is not what Okc would be considered. Must I admit something that is not the fact to make you happy, to calm your insecurities, I don't think so. Just the truth and no criticizing, not so hard.

The uni is blue, not teal. No surprise there.

What's ridiculous, Albert, is your complete unwillingness to admit anything here in OKC could be unique, admirable, good. You look so hard for things to criticize that you lose all credibility.

I agree that your "tongue in cheek" as you now call it is stupid, but you said it.

Here's probably a better representation of the colors of the uniforms. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. We'll know soon regardless!________

I know the color looks like teal in the video. What I'm telling you is that the video color is probably inaccurate. Teal is not one of the Thunder colors. I've got several items of "Thunderwear" and there is nothing approaching teal on any of them. The game has the location of the home and away benches backwards in the game shots, so why couldn't they have the color off slightly? I was kidding about the Hornets copying the Thunder color. I suppose I should have put in a ;) It was tongue in cheek because it's stupid to talk about any of the teams copying each other. There are only so many colors available. Multiple teams use the same colors, so I don't think we need to criticize one team for "copying" another. The Grizzlies, Jazz and Nuggets all have varying shades of light blue. Were the Hornets "copying" them? Who cares????

jill okc, if you actually watch the video, the color is very similar to what was used here with the Hornets. Yes, it is on the uniform shorts and on the court in this video. The okc logo is the same under the goals. I stated what I see on this video and it is the fact. What is also fact, if you look on the Hornets web sight you will see the article dated AUGUST 20th about the unveiling of their new colors which don't stray very far at all from their original colors. We (Okc) unveiled the colors and logo on SEPTEMBER 4th and this very article states that MONDAY SEPTEMBER 29th will be when they officially unveil the uniform. How is it that you say the Hornets are copying the Thunder when those release dates are the facts. "NICE TRY"

Sux that Westbrook is already hurt!!!...Oh wait a minute....Home uni's look just fine...Can't believe it's only a month away
ROGER, MOORE - Sep 28, 2008 at 9:30 pm
I think the home unis look GREAT. I didn't like the logo when I first saw it, nor do I love it now, but it's growing on me. The uniforms are a different matter. I think the color combinations are interesting and give them a slightly different look from any others, but it's still classic. I suspect the color in the game is off, because teal is NOT a Thunder color. That stripe that looks teal will be sky blue in vivo. The Hornets' colors are teal, purple, gold and black. The Thunder's are sky blue, navy, red-orange and gold. I see only one color in common, Albert, and that color isn't anywhere on the uni but the logo. Nice try, however. And this year the Hornets are actually copying the Thunder, because they're going with a sky blue uniform with purple pinstripes. It's uuuuugly. I may like the Hornets logo, but I really dislike their new unis. So, if they were here, I'd be unhappy with the uniforms. It's hard to please everyone all the time, and some people are never happy.......

Hopefully Paul isn't this miserable in person, only when he's hiding behind a computer screen. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for the guy, despite all the stupid things the says.

Well paul, you don't have to read about it if you don't want to. Most of us would be perfectly happy for you to just sit and stew in your own miserable little world. You're like those TV evangelists who see gloom and doom at every corner, in every thing. I'd join the chorus of those saying that if you don't like Oklahoma you should move, but a person like you isn't going to be happy anywhere. That's just sad.

yeah!!! its emo-brett!!! please come share more of your feelings. they matter so much to everyone!
Randy, Moore - Sep 28, 2008 at 11:23 am
Actually, they ordered a brand new floor - that was reported a few weeks ago. If you watch the video above, you can actually see the new floor, which I think looks awesome! The uniforms look sharp as well! Why don't we all quit with the negativity and remember this is OUR FIRST professional sports team here in Oklahoma, quit with the bickering of the logo and Hornets comparision, and cheer them on and embrace everything about this team, huh? GO THUNDER!!
Brent, Moore - Sep 28, 2008 at 10:50 am
The Thundering Hornets. I won't be surprised to see the Thunder's hideous logo on the Hornets old floor.
Brett, Oklahoma City - Sep 28, 2008 at 7:56 am
Hope this day does not continue on the negative note it seems to be starting on. I think they look great!
Anita, Oklahoma City - Sep 28, 2008 at 7:11 am
Because they'd have to hire somebody from out of state for original thinking. Look at the lame logo, look at the lame uniforms, and look at the fact this paper is reporting almost daily of new hires the "team" is making, where are they all coming from anyway? Sure not this state, but they did get the dancing girls from here, I guess they help qualify under the Quality Jobs Act"...

Looks almost the exact same as the Hornets colors when they were visiting here. Why is it that we have to copy everything and not be original?
